VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
"Show them the Thessaloniki you love" is the slogan for the Volunteer Program for the WAF to be held on 12th & 13th of September .
The volunteer program, created by LOC, aims to provide the higher level of service to those constituent groups which are going to be in the city during the final. Our target, is to recruit 350 individuals which will be trained in order to understand the job description and to best implement their knowledge. Several functional areas such as Competition department, Press Operations, transportation, Accreditation, Hospitality areas, are facilitating the need for experience and will of the volunteers to best accommodate these functions. The LOC believes that the program is open to all citizens and particularly to those who have the free time, especially young people who are familiar with athletics. Additionally, the program emphasizes that will not end with the WAF but will be adapted for future organizations in order to provide the assistance in national and local events.
